    Default ukcat results

    I've got 590 at ukcat.have I a chance to apply to any university which requries ukcat?for example newcastle

    Well, was 590 the mean average? What did you get in the sub-tests? I got 560 on one, 580 on another and 600 on the other 2. So don't worry about it. The average is around 500 to 700. So I should think universities will certainly consider you.

    And don't forget, it's about many other factors too, including your personal statement etc. You can also resit the UKCAT if you really need to!

    I got 530,520,630 and 690. I don't think I can resit UKCAT,only next year.Anyway,thanks

    I would avoid Newcastle, on the phone they told me you would need a score of 2500. You can still apply to medicine however that score does limit you quite a bit. I would look into the unis which don't have any tests (Bristol, Birmingham and Liverpool), the unis which use the BMAT (Oxbridge, Imperial, UCL) and the unis which only place a small weighting on the UKCAT (BSMS is one, you have to research the others)

    Kings is very risky as well unless your GCSEs are VERY good

    i will sit Romanian Baccalaureate and i think i will score well .hopefully...since the ukcat results i do not have many hopes of being accepted into any good medical school in uk

    I've got average 650 (560, 660, 660 and 720) do u think I stand a chance for applying to newcastle and sheffield?
